Punjabi department feels proud to be the first postgraduate department of the college. M.A Punjabi was started in 2003. The students of the department have succeeded in gaining the highest place in the merit list. Many students of the department have been teaching in different institutions after completing M.Phil and Ph.D degrees from renowned universities. At present, 16 teachers are giving their services to the department. Besides classroom teaching, promoting Punjabi language, literature and culture has become the responsibility of the department.
